ASCSA Annual Meeting 2024 Meet-ups

Several ASCSA Meet-ups were scheduled under the umbrella of ASCSA in early June, 2024, during the few days around the Annual Meeting 2024.  Over 30 participants came from across the USA and England. Many attended more than one of ourspecial gatherings.

During several days of ASCSA get-togethers, many enjoyed fellowship, interesting conversations, dining together, and the freedom to join in the fun at the last minute as their schedules allowed. We all enjoyed the inspiring activities The Mother Church hosted around the Annual Meeting

The spectacular snow-capped Rockies was the setting to enjoy a variety of winter activities including downhill and cross-country skiing, ice skating, broom hockey, horseback riding, sledding and snowshoeing.  Daily excursions were offered by the Adventure Unlimited Ranches to Colorado's favorite ski areas.  There was also plenty of time to simply relax in Valerie lodge with friends, sit and read and savor a warm fire with a cup of hot chocolate.

ASCSA Cape Cod Adventure (New England) 2016-2017

The first ASCSA Cape Cod adventure in 2016 was so successful, that we decided to offer a similar event the following year.  All participants experienced, with other single Christian Scientists, the rich history, beauty and delights of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, with its charming New England towns and extensive National Seashore. During the first event in 2016 we did a day trip to Martha’s Vineyard. The following summer we did a day trip to Nantucket. Both of these historic, enigmatic islands are a short high-speed ferry ride from Hyannis, the harbor town on The Cape where we stayed

Canyon Country Adventure 2017

Adventure went into Canyon Country on an 8-Day Tour of Grand Canyon National Park, Antelope Slot Canyon, Lake Powell, Bryce Canyon National Park, Zion National Park and Monument Valley.

Hosted byAlison Chabonais, we explored several of the stunning national parks that highlight America’s Grand Circle. Our motor-coach tour included time for expeditions by foot and by boat with a Navajo guide. This Globus tour is open to Christian Science singles and couples, because it is not sponsored by the ASCSA.

WHAT'S ASCSA?
ASCSA stands for Active Single Christian Scientists' Association. Formed in 1996. ASCSA is a non-profit, all volunteer organization whose purpose is to coordinate opportunities for active, single Christian Scientists to meet each other and enjoy fun-filled weeks/weekends of camaraderie, sports and entertainment.

Our programs are primarily designed for those who enjoy vigorous athletic activities, however there is plenty to do if you're not into more athletic activities and just want to come and relax on the beach. ASCSA events are open to all legally single, supporters of and students of Christian Science age 18 and over. No smoking, drinking, or drugs will be allowed. You do not need to be a member of The Mother Church. We welcome those that are not a Christian Scientist, but want to discover, lean about and be a part of the Christian Science community.
